Computer Consultant and Technician based at Beerwah, Queensland, Australia.

Above is a view of part of the Glass House Mountains district looking South-West from the Western summit of Mount Coochin, which is just a few minutes' walk from my home.

April 2009...

Still with Personal Computer Solutions, and do not expect that to change for now. The work is interesting, and I get to meet many fine people.

December 2007...

I began working as a computer technician with Personal Computer Solutions and Tuition (PCSol or PC Solutions) in late August 2006. PCSol has several other technicians who work in areas around Brisbane and south to Tweed Heads. My area stretches from Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast) south to Boondall - Albany Creek (Brisbane Northside).

August 2006...

Currently I am looking for work. I am mature and versatile, seeking work in the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane (Northside) areas as an ASP or Visual Basic programmer. Please see my resume for details ("My Resume" link at left).

The "Alerta" project kept me busy until the end of July 2006. Unfortunately, TSS has not had any orders from clients since early in the year, so I'm out of work for the time being.

January 2006...

In February 2005 I was offered part-time work developing a website for Transport Safety Services of Buderim ("Alerta Home" link at left). This is an Active Server Pages (ASP) application to provide messaging and tracking services intended for operators of heavy vehicles and heavy machinery.

In June 2005 I ceased the voluntary teaching work, mainly because of the increasing cost of travelling back and forth to Maroochydore three days a week.

January 2005...

A whole year since the last update! For the first nine months of the year I was stuck in the Centrelink loop looking for work, including a course on looking for work (fat lot of use that was!). In October I was offered voluntary work with an organisation in Maroochydore, teaching elderly people to use Windows 98 (up to six in each class).

January 2004...

Last June (2003) I completed my Bachelor of Business degree in Information Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast ("USC Home" link at left).
In addition to my Information Systems major, I completed several elective courses in Marketing, Computer-Based Art & Design (CBAD), and some Arts courses in communication.

Before beginning my University degree I operated my own welding business for 23 years, building and repairing farm machinery. Before that I worked as a motor mechanic, a spare parts manager, and had a parcel delivery run for several years.
